Beirut: Militants of Islamic State group have beheaded two women in Syria for the first time on charge of sorcery, Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reported Tuesday.

Rami Abdulrahman, head of the Observatory, a monitoring group, said the beheadings took place in the eastern province of Deir al-Zor this week.
One of the women, she said, was beheaded along with her husband in Deir al-Zor city, while the other woman was beheaded alongwith her husband in al-Mayadeen city in southeastern Syria.
Rami said, all four were beheaded on charges of indulging in sorcery.
